Background scanner (scan without the page open)

For a handheld scanner in USB COM / serial mode. A small tray program listens to the scanner and marks pulls with nothing open, so a scan never types into OBS, TikTok Live Studio or chat. It only reaches your batches and uses the running batch picked on the Scan pulls tab.

Switch the scanner to USB COM mode (scan the "USB COM" setup code in its manual) and plug it in.
Download the installer below and double-click it. If Windows warns you, click More info → Run anyway.
A black M icon appears in the tray; a mint dot means the scanner is connected.
